BRIEF.

Home of retro approached us with nothing more than a poorly designed and under-developed WordPress shop. Their business demanded a stylish, sophisticated front end for selling to their customers.

Home of Retro already had its own style and they wanted their online shopping experience to reflect this. It needed to be retro and immersive.

They needed their site to talk to their in-house stock management system as part of their online e-commerce solution. The challenge was set to produce a smart, clean but sales driven online platform for their business.

PROCESS.

We had to immerse ourselves in their brand and their process before starting any design. We ran a couple of discovery workshops to get a feel for their brand and chose a colour scheme, font and logo style that we felt reflected their brand and place in the market.

From this, we built out the wireframes for the site and began examining the simplest user-journey from any page through to a user converting at the point of purchase.

We worked closely with the team at Home of Retro throughout to make sure they could steer us in the right direction look and feel wise and to make sure we were pushing the right products in the right places.

IMPACT.

We left the team at Home of Retro with a website that is entirely managed in-house and communicates with all the back-end systems automating their business processes as much as possible.

Online sales are up since the launch of the site and their site gets rave reviews on a regular basis. We continue to partner them and work closely with them on them to maximise their conversion rates.
