BRIEF.

To design and build an exciting new site for the much-loved comedy character Mr Bean. It was important to maintain and enhance the site’s international appeal as well as seamlessly integrate the live action series starring Rowan Atkinson with his animated cartoon series.

PROCESS.

We worked closely with TV production company Tiger Aspect to develop a playful, engaging custom-built site for Mr Bean, reflecting his quirky character and appealing to fans of every age, all over the world. We included an online shop where people could buy Mr Bean branded goods, plus a monetised video wall of clips and custom-build games.

Working with the storylines and concepts briefed by Tiger Aspect, we also invented three games for young fans. They captured Mr Bean’s quirks, looked beautiful, featured original artwork from the animated series and were released via the character’s Facebook page and official website.

IMPACT.

The site has been hugely effective at capturing traffic, providing fans with what they’re searching for and boosting Mr Bean’s social media status. The Mr Bean Facebook page currently has 60 million fans and, at the time of writing, is the 26th biggest Facebook fan page on earth.
